The area benefits from the confluence of two opposing climates, the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, which provides mild temperatures and annual rainfall >400 l/m2, ideal conditions for vines. There are three areas with different winegrowing characteristics: Rioja Alta, Rioja Alavesa and Rioja Oriental
Dark cherry red colour with a slight violet rim.
Intense aromas of red fruit such as strawberries and raspberries well blended with the spicy aromas of French and American oak, cedar, vanilla and dill.
Full-bodied, tasty wine with a muscular finish marked by freshness, well-polished tannins and spicy aromas.
Meat and vegetable stews, lamb, suckling pig, matured beef, Rioja-style potatoes.
Optimum serving temperature 18 ºC.
Great ageing potential if stored in a cool, dark place.
